A nomad at heart. I have spent many years living on the road or out of a bag. I have in recent years been stationary due to my health conditions.

I have a passion for speaking about Uterine Health and all things Period!

Born in the East of England. I attended college in Cambridge, studying Psychology and Photography, continuing my Art studies as a Btec national diploma. I went on to study my degree in Bristol, achieving a Bachelor of arts in Psychology and Criminology.

Watercolour Painting has been a more recent addition to my reportoire. Allowing me to find peace in an often busy mind. I enjoy taking classes for an opportunity to socialise with other Artists.

Food!

I love to cook and spent many of my younger adult years working in kitchens. It's taken a while but now I love to eat!

People watching

I think it's why I love photography. And sitting in cafés. Although coffee may also be a contender here!

Herbalism

I am a big fan of the Herbal Academy and their recipes for skincare! A link to their website is below

Physics

I have so many questions and physics is also asking those questions with the aim of understanding more about the answers....

I find it fascinating to ponder the delights of the universe.

Period advocacy

It started with endometriosis.... And not wanting others to feel like I did.

Psychology

I studied consciousness, and just like with physics, for me it's about understanding our internal and external worlds.

Searching For E.T & Stargazing

I love stargazing in general but have n recent years been extra excited to go out and search the skies for Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.

Tarot

Tarot has at times been more harm than help. At times it has added to the confusion. Until I learnt to trust my intuition. To read less into the book and feel more based on my knowledge of the card.

The Mystic Arts

"Know thyself,

Nothing in excess,

Surity brings ruin."

The bottom E is often seen as a symbol joining the three phrases together rather than an extra character.

Translation from Maia Tolls "The Night School" 2022

The original phrase, as written in Greek, at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi is written below

Γνῶθι σεαυτόν

Μηδὲν ἄγαν

Ἐγγύα πάρα δ' Ἄτα

"Forgiven " A.A.Milne

I found a little beetle; so that Beetle was his name,

And I called him Alexander and he answered just the same.

I put him in a match-box, and I kept him all the day ...

And Nanny let my beetle out -

Yes, Nanny let my beetle out -

She went and let my beetle out -

And Beetle ran away.

She said she didn't mean it, and I never said she did,

She said she wanted matches and she just took off the lid,

She said that she was sorry, but it's difficult to catch

An excited sort of beetle you've mistaken for a match.

She said that she was sorry, and I really mustn't mind,

As there's lots and lots of beetles which she's certain we could find,

If we looked about the garden for the holes where beetles hid -

And we'd get another match-box and write BEETLE on the lid.

We went to all the places which a beetle might be near,

And we made the sort of noises which a beetle likes to hear,

And I saw a kind of something, and I gave a sort of shout:

"A beetle-house and Alexander Beetle coming out!"

It was Alexander Beetle I'm as certain as can be,

And he had a sort of look as if he thought it must be Me,

And he had a sort of look as if he thought he ought to say:

"I'm very very sorry that I tried to run away."

And Nanny's very sorry too for you-know-what-she-did,

And she's writing ALEXANDER very blackly on the lid,

So Nan and Me are friends, because it's difficult to catch

An excited Alexander you've mistaken for a match.

"Jimmy & Paulette in taxi" by Nan Goldin

This was the first photograph by Nan Goldin that I saw. A friend at college who was also studying photography had introduced me to her work and I immediately fell in love. I wanted to know more about this artist and her work.

I was lucky enough to see an exhibition of Nan's photographs at the Pompidou centre. I had been gifted a trip to Paris as an 18th birthday gift and took a friend. She loved Jazz and took me to some amazing little Jazz bars. I loved the Pompidou centre building and to me looked like something a child would draw. Bright and colourful. With all the pipes exposed, painted rainbow colours.

I am more influenced by Nan Goldin's work now than I was when I first experienced her work. Maybe because I have more to document. My photography in the past was more influenced by the work of Damien Hirst as I was studying digital photography and part of our exam was to show photomanipulation.
