Poetry

By Em Faye Masters

Poetry on the fly

Poems that have come in an instant, and would be lost without a home.

Memory

My memory is salty. My thoughts slow and dim. My body may be faulty, connecting to my yin.

I long to know my story, connecting to my past. To put aside the worry, To allow good times to last.

I want a better future, To thrive, To follow my dreams. The present is a gift she said, you're, here to set the scene.

Into the Void Poetry

Knights of the Tarot Haiku

Knight of Pentacles.

Come sweet Lord of things

Enter my lair of Plenty

It is all empty

2026

Knight of Swords

A sharp mind, cutting

Through all the layers of shit

I see clearly now

2026

Knight Of Cups

Overflowing tears

The mind strong, emotions felt

I sincerely wept

2026

Knight of Wands

Passion in motion

From the flower to the fruit

O' Bequeath yearning

2026

Haiku about inner strength

The path of the Warrior

A treacherous road

Long travels the warrior

A steep climb ahead

"Night School" Haiku

In 2023 I started reading a book on mysticism called "The Night School" by Maia Toll. These haiku were done as part of the "homework" for the classes set out in the book. Painted and written in 2024.

Chakra art Haiku

Seed with bitter roots

Given naught but tears to drink

Grows toward the dark

Salem in sequel

Malus necessarium

Faithfully evil

Oh fountain of truth

Shower me with your knowledge

Now I am drowning

A House Full

Poem by E Masters © 2025

"A house full of cats, well fancy that!

Has one ever fallen asleep in your hat?"

"A house full of cats! I bet they can be twats!

Do they cough up a furball on your wooden slats?"

"A house full of cats? Nah... I think dogs are where it's at.

They're happy to chase a ball, not a bat."

"A house full of cats... Is it magick perhaps?

A purr that is healing. They're wonderful chaps."

Poem for Palestine, 2024.

Seeds firmly planted,

Scattered through soil

Blooming red

The petals fall.

One by one

We raise them up

Cradle each one

With care and love,

For each one a life

Taken too soon

Before they had

A chance to Bloom.

STOP THE GENOCIDE!!!
